Dr. Phil Hoskins

Dr. Phil Hoskins has faithfully served in Christian ministry for many years, demonstrating a deep commitment to evangelism, pastoral leadership, and the advancement of the Gospel. He began his ministry as a Baptist evangelist, traveling and preaching for fourteen years, during which time he ministered to churches and communities across the region, encouraging spiritual renewal and strengthening believers in their faith.

Following his years in evangelism, Dr. Hoskins served as the Senior Pastor of Higher Ground Baptist Church in Kingsport, Tennessee, for twenty-four years. Under his leadership, the church experienced remarkable growth and spiritual vitality. During his pastorate, church membership grew from approximately 150 members to more than 3,800, with over 3,000 individuals added through believer’s baptism. His ministry emphasized biblical preaching, discipleship, outreach, and a strong commitment to the Great Commission.

Dr. Hoskins pursued extensive academic preparation to equip himself for ministry. He attended East Tennessee State University, Milligan College, and Andersonville Theological Seminary. Through his studies he earned a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master’s degree, and a Doctor of Theology (ThD) in Theology.

Throughout his years of service, Dr. Hoskins has remained dedicated to proclaiming the Word of God, shepherding believers, and equipping others for Christian service. His life and ministry reflect a passion for evangelism, sound doctrine, and the faithful teaching of Scripture.
