TBI is excited to offer a new course: "The Art of Preaching and Teaching Homiletics"

The Art of
Preaching and Teaching Communication

The focus of this course will be to expand each student’s understanding of their role as a communicator. This will cover everything from the spiritual elements of teaching / preaching to the mechanics involved in speaking in different settings; even how one is to present themselves visually and verbally. This course is highly recommended for anyone wanting to develop and improve their gifts / skills as a communicator of God’s Word.

Instructor:  Pastor Derek Anglin

Pastor Derek Anglin is the Lead Pastor of NewGrace in Baldwin, GA.  He is also a graduate of Victory Baptist College where he excelled in Homiletics.  He utilizes his gift to preach by speaking at various church conferences, leadership events, and other speaking engagements.

On Campus and Online Instruction for the Winter/Spring 2024 Semester

Course Prerequisite: minimum age 17 / no previous education required (TBI or otherwise)

Course Duration: 8-weeks
Course Cost: $200.00
Instructional Method:

  • On Campus – Weekly in-person instruction at 7:00pm (homework / handouts are online)
  • Online – Weekly class opens Online from Mon. 8:00am to the following Mon. at 8:00am. Online Students have 1-week to view the class video and complete assignments. This is the weekly Online class routine.

STUDENT REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOV 1 – DEC 15, 2023 (Late Registrations Not Accepted)

  • A completed registration form is required per student
  • Course payment is required at time of registration and is non-refundable 
  • A certificate will be granted upon completion
